RIPLEY, W.Va. (WV News) — Twelve competing cooks in the second Ripley High School Choral Booster’s Chili Cookoff brought the taste, the heat and the fun to the event on Veterans Day.

A fundraiser for the choral department, each entrant was judged in a blind taste test by six judges, with the public also making their choice. The Chili of the Year winner received a $250 cash prize.
