CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — Robert “Bob” F. McCann, 88, born near Clarksburg, passed away at home in Clarksburg WV, early November 11th.
Special thanks to his treasured niece, Brenda of Marietta, Ohio, and his granddaughter, April, and her wife Summer.
His death follows that of his beloved wife, Moreth (Kimball) McCann, after 60 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Harvey of Parkersburg, and Jim McCann, his brother of Delaware, and Bob’s parents, Bob and Ida (McCartney) McCann.
Bob is survived by his home caretaker and son Pat, and his son Mike of Meadowbrook, as well as granddaughter, April, and Sarah, and great-grandchildren.
Bob loved Victory High school, where he graduated in 1954, where he played football, basketball and ran track.
He worked as lead electrician at Monongahela Power in Clarksburg, WV.
He had many, many dear friends at the Harrison County Senior Center in Clarksburg. Those who really knew him will miss him deeply.
His remains were donated to Morgantown’s gift registry.
