A craft show sponsored by the Ripley High Kindness Club will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ripley High School annex. Admission is free.

Ravenswood Band Holiday Craft Show, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ravenswood High School.

The St. Matthew’s Ladies Guild will sponsor a Craft and Bake Sale on Saturday, November 18 at the Parish Hall at 400 Kaiser Ave. in Ravenswood from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. We will also have a hot dog sale. Two hot dogs and a drink for $4.
November 26
Calvary United Methodist Church in Ripley will host “Sounds of the Season” with Dr. Keith Burdette and friends at 7 p.m.
November 30
The Ripley Library will be hosting a Painting Game at 6 p.m. For information, contact the library at 304-372-5343 ext. 3.
December 2
The Christian Home Educators of Jackson County will host a children’s craft show from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Harrison Building at 119 South Church Street in Ripley. Admission is free. To reserve a table for $10, contact Brooke Knowlton at 304-966-0161
December 3
Bingo to raise funds for the Fairgrounds stage will be at the Ripley High cafeteria at 2 p.m. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Call Tammy Cox at 304-532-6716 for Early Bird ($20). Tickets are $25 at the door.
December 9
Savannah’s Closet Holiday Bingo will begin at 6 p.m., with doors opening at 5 p.m. at Ravenswood High School cafeteria. Call or text 514-3464 for early bird tickets ($20). Tickets are $25 at the door.
December 11
Troop Link is collecting snack foods and hygiene items for 15 care packages for service members/Veterans in three Middle East locations. Donations can be dropped into Ripley library collection box or contact Barb at 304-532-7389 for further details.
Our military moms and wives will meet up 3 p.m. at the Strickland residence on December 11 care packages for next day mailing.
WIC
The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program is a supplemental food program for pregnant, post-partum, or breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to the age of five. WIC provides food, breastfeeding support and nutrition education to families in Jackson County. To apply for the WIC Program or to receive more information call our local office at 304-372-8525 or our main office in Parkersburg at 304-428-3688. WIC Clinic at 600 South Church Street, Suite 2, Ripley every Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
2024 Calendars
Once again, the 2023 State Championship Ripley Middle School Archery Team is selling WV Department of Natural Resources 2024 Calendars. The proceeds from this fundraiser are used for equipment and travel expenses for the team.
Calendars are available at Ripley Middle School front office, Farmers Feed, Carter Lumber, City National Bank and Greens Feed & Seed in Ripley or by contacting team members, Coach Whit Parrish at 618-295-6688 or Assistant Coach Krystle Harrison at 304-532-3222
