CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — A 49-year-old West Milford man pleaded guilty Friday to felony fleeing with reckless indifference.
Robert Keith Kile could face a prison term of one to five years, a fine of up to $2,000, or both when he’s sentenced Jan. 9 by Harrison Circuit Judge James A. Matish.
Assistant Prosecutor Gina Renzelli and defense attorney Jonathan Fittro will argue sentencing.
Kile admitted he fled recklessly last Dec. 9 from Harrison Deputy D.K. Nuzum. At one point during the flight, Kile had stopped and Nuzum had exited his vehicle, but Kile then continued the pursuit, Renzelli said.
Kile said he had smoked methamphetamine, his drug of choice, earlier that day.
The state dismissed a second fleeing with reckless indifference charge. It alleged Kile fled recklessly last Nov. 29 from Clarksburg Pfc. Kane Bender, who’s also assigned to Mountaineer Highway Interdiction Team South.
Kile avoided law enforcement Nov. 29, but ended up getting arrested after going briefly on foot following the Dec. 9 vehicle pursuit.
Kile used methamphetamine last week, but passed his drug screen Friday. Matish permitted Kile to remain free on bond. However, the judge told Deputy Chief Probation Officer Janis Leckenbush that Kile is to be tested daily until he stacks a full week of clean drug screens. At that point, testing will occur once a week, Matish said.

— Harrison Magistrate Kevin Renzelli on Friday found probable cause for two felony charges against a Clarksburg man.
The ruling by Renzelli sends to Harrison County Circuit Court the charges against Ronald Michael Gilmore of possession with intent to deliver, and child neglect creating risk of injury.
Gilmore possessed four bags of suspected methamphetamine with a total weight of 110 grams, as well as a scale, while in the presence of children for whom he was caring, Clarksburg Patrol Officer Gary Johnson has alleged.
— Jasmine Mariah Bianco, 21, of Hepzibah, has entered a plea to conspiracy to deliver marijuana, according to Harrison Assistant Prosecutor Andrea Roberts, for Prosecutor Rachel Romano.
Bianco was placed on a two-year deferred adjudication by Judge Matish. If Bianco is successful, the felony will be dismissed and Bianco will enter a plea to misdemeanor conspiracy, according to Roberts.
Deputy Jon Flanagan alleged he recovered more than a pound of marijuana, $160 in cash and guns and ammunition during the investigation. Another individual also was charged.
