Brie is a mild and versatile cheese that is a wonderful choice to serve dinner guests. With so many preparation options, Brie is sure to steal the spotlight on any appetizer table.
Baked Brie is, in my opinion, a fancy way to present Brie at a holiday gathering. Wrap a wheel of Brie in a pastry puff to create a decadent combination of warm, melted cheese inside a crisp, flaky pastry.
Place the luxurious Brie pastry puff on a platter alongside grapes, sliced pears or tart apples, and crackers to truly give your guests a scrumptious appetizer.
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, this is definitely a recipe worth clipping. Baked Brie will add a level of sophistication to the Thanksgiving spread. It is not only visually appealing, but scrumptious as well.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Lightly flour a surface and unfold the pastry puff on it. Flour a rolling pin and gently roll the dough out to smooth the folds.
Sprinkle half of the brown sugar in the center of the pastry and evenly spread the pecans over the brown sugar. Place the Brie round atop the brown sugar and pecans. Next, sprinkle the remaining brown sugar on top of the Brie round.
Brush the edges of the puff pastry with the beaten egg. Fold the pastry around the Brie.
Place the Brie, seam side down, onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden. Allow Brie to stand for about 3 minutes before serving. Place on a platter alongside grapes, sliced pears or tart apples and crackers.
Enjoy!
