Smoothies are a great way to start the day. Easy to make, smoothies require very little time to prepare. Another great benefit is that when made with healthy ingredients, smoothies are full of protein and fiber, along with various vitamins and minerals.
With so many ingredient options, there is a smoothie blend for everyone. Whether you prefer a fruit, veggie, or nut-based smoothie, the final product is sure to please.
Smoothies are also kid- friendly, so be sure to add them to breakfast choices, especially during busy morning routines. Smoothies are perfect before work or school.
The addition of avocado or nut butters will provide healthy fats, which will keep you full longer. Get creative with smoothie blends. Consider adding seeds such as flax, chia, or hemp to boost the nutritional level.
A blend of frozen and fresh fruit also adds to the overall appeal of smoothies. Ice dilutes the flavor, so frozen fruit is a better choice as it creates a thick, creamy smoothie.
