A fully-loaded propane tractor trailer rolled over near Paul Street in Loch Lynn on early Tuesday morning. There were no active propane leaks, and the crews operated on scene for approximately six hours.
LOCH LYNN HEIGHTS — First responders, as well as hazardous material volunteers, were dispatched to the Loch Lynn Heights area early Tuesday morning after a propane truck overturned near Paul Street, according to the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO).
There were no active propane leaks, according to a Facebook post from the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department. Some oil leaks were found and addressed by the GC Hazmat Team.
The post also recorded that Chief 40 arrived and assumed command, having ET46 and E122 establish water supplies and standby hose lines, and E22 established some lighting.
Crews worked on scene for around six hours. The agencies involved were Deer Park VFD, Gorman VFD, Southern Rescue Squad, GC Hazmat Team, GCSO, Garrett Central Communications, GC Department of Emergency Management, Maryland State Police, GC Road Department, MD State Highway and Grantsville Truck and Trailer.
