BRIDGEPORT — The Bridgeport Municipal Building Commission oversees the acquisition and purchase of property, maintenance of public buildings and construction projects in the city.
The Building Commission shall not undertake any project without the prior written approval of City Council, and members consult with council members and receive written approval before any purchases or sales.
Members are authorized to apply for, receive and use grants, donations and other contributions, issue negotiable bonds, notes or debentures or raise funds by the issuance and sale of revenue bonds to accomplish these goals.
Members must be residents of Bridgeport. Terms are for three years. Members meet as necessary.
