Rosenbaum Family House stay inspires $30K corporate gift

Located steps away from J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Rosenbaum Family House welcomes more than 1,800 families each year. The facility offers affordable lodging and meaningful support for patients and their caregivers while receiving medical care at WVU Medicine’s main campus in Morgantown.

Paul Kopp, director of supplier marketing and product management for Sager, said the company partners with one of its largest suppliers, California-based MEAN WELL USA, to contribute to organizations within its service regions that are focused on health and well-being, poverty, hunger, education, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, and more.

“We at Sager Electronics are happy to be able to donate to organizations doing work in social care, such as Rosenbaum Family House,” Kopp said. “We couldn’t think of a better charity, and this one really touched us because we’ve seen the effects of long-term care, people struggling with bills and having to then be worried about medical care. For us, Rosenbaum was an opportunity to make a difference.”

The business partner who inspired the gift said she was grateful for not only the affordability of Rosenbaum Family House but also the kindness and support she received during her stays. She particularly appreciated the convenient coffee and snacks, visits from a support animal, and educational information provided about WVU Medicine services.
