Preston football to conclude regular season tonight
The Preston Knights' football team (2-7) is coming off a convincing 34-13 win at Buckhannon-Upshur which snapped a four-game losing streak. The win also guaranteed that Preston will finish with a better win total than it did in each of the previous two seasons.
At 7 p.m. tonight, Preston will host the Philip Barbour Colts who are 7-2 and ranked No. 10 in WV Class AA. The Colts' two losses to East Fairmont and Lewis County are just by a combined 11 points. Regardless of tonight's result, this will be Philip Barbour's first winning season since 2017.Â
This will be the first meeting between the programs since 2003. Preston leads the overall series 7-2 with its only losses occurring in 2001 and 2002, both by 22-19 scores.
