West Virginia has introduced a new type of trail that offers tourists the opportunity to explore the state's culinary delights. This culinary trail, curated by a team of chef ambassadors led by James Beard Award finalist Paul Smith, features the top restaurants in the Mountain State.
Currently, there are over two dozen dining destinations on the trail, with plans to add more in the future. These restaurants include:
Tourists can easily navigate the trail using a digital passport available on their smartphones. By checking in at a certain number of restaurants, diners can earn prizes from the West Virginia Department of Tourism. The culinary trail offers a unique and delicious way to experience the rich flavors of Appalachian cuisine in West Virginia.
