ACCIDENT — Calvary Christian Academy Garrett Campus hosted a Meals of Hope packing day on Nov. 10, completing 10,000 meals for families in need.
Meals were distributed to Oak Park Church of the Brethren in Oakland, the Salisbury Community Center in Salisbury, Pennsylvania, the James Isaac House in Oakland and Food for Preston in Kingwood, West Virginia. These organizations will distribute the meals to the families they serve in those communities.
“Students, teachers, and volunteers all worked together, and had a great day sharing the love of Jesus Christ in this way,” said Erin Younkin, lead teacher.
Calvary Christian Academy — Garrett Campus was founded in 2020 as a satellite campus and ministry of Calvary Christian Academy located in Cresaptown. The Garrett Campus is located at Cherry Glade Mennonite Church in Accident.
“We are blessed with over 100 students in grades Pre-k through 7th grade and are excited to see what God has in store for our future,” Younkin said.
