Conservative commentators, like Tucker Carlson and a goofball that took Limbaugh’s place, are talking about preparing for a nuclear war with Russia and China. They’re saying there is a 5, 6, 7% chance of a war, versus a 1% chance by the experts because of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and our involvement.
Those creeps also believe NATO is a deterrent to Russia’s completion of overtaking Ukraine, and that we should drop our membership in NATO, just like Trump did. They don’t seem to care that Russia could continue through Poland and other NATO countries. They think that it shouldn’t be our problem. It makes me wonder about their true loyalty.
Those commies better think twice about trying to nuke West Virginia, ‘cause we’re gonna have some gun-totin’ kids in our state colleges to kick their behinds!
I have issues with the political system in the process or personal response by the primary representative. I’ve talked before about the VA “means test.” Bill Clinton made it so all veterans could belong to the VA medical system, but it changed in 2003, so that unless you were enrolled, you could never belong to the VA medical system. Bush had to find some way to help finance the Iraq war.
Obama changed it to a “means test” program —that is, a vet could join the medical system only if the total family income was less than $54,000, including retirement and Social Security.
I’ve tried to get Manchin involved, but to no avail. Every time you write a letter, a politician’s staff answers for them. I sent a letter to President Biden, requesting all veterans be treated equal, the same, without the “means test.” Guess what I get? A letter from a staff member, fresh out of ding dong school telling me all the good things Biden has done.
I sent a letter back saying it was not what I asked about, doing away with the “means test.” I sent that letter about six or seven weeks ago. I sent a letter back that if I didn’t get a response, I’d go to the media, and that’s what I’m doing.
I seem to be the only one who cares, and I mean the only one! It’s sad that our veterans have never had the respect by our government that they deserve. They’ve served with respect for our government for the years since this country was born. The politicians we have don’t seem to care about our veterans, but they still expect the protection of our men and women who serve.
